HS1 Chassis

The Hoosier Speed HS1 Chassis is converted from a Triple X midget chassis out of 4130 Chromoly tubing. We complete the conversions in house: adding wing spuds, altering the motorplate and driveline, and adding a floating rear brake assembly. The chassis features a 71″ wheelbase with 33″ back-set, and weighs approximately 148 pounds. The HS1 chassis is very responsive to changing track conditions and replacement parts are widely available from multiple manufacturers- making the parts more affordable.

The Hoosier Speed HS1 features a coil front and torsion bar rear suspension. We have spent 3 years testing and developing baseline setups for both winged and non-winged cars and have found success in each discipline. We know what bars and springs you need to get started!

Our cars come standard with quality suspension components from DMI, M&W Aluminum Products, and Rod End Supply rod ends.

Because the HS1 is built from a midget base replacement parts are readily available from multiple manufacturers. Replacement bumpers, nerfs, and other chassis components are easily available directly from Hoosier Speed or Triple X Race Co. All of the suspension bolt-on parts are widely manufactured by different companies. No more special spindles, steering arms, wishbones, or torsion arms. Standard parts that are available anywhere!

Hoosier Speed is a proud distributor of some of the most reputable names in open-wheel racing, including: AFCO, All-Star Performance, Competition Suspension Inc., Cen-Pe-Co Lublicants, DMI, Engler Machine and Tool, M&W Aluminum Products, Schoenfeld Headers, and Ultrashield.
